How to take Simtriyo

Simplified dosing: One [br-d] capsule, just once a day

Before treating patients with Simtriyo, assess for the risk of abuse, misuse, and addiction; cardiovascular issues; the risk of developing a manic episode; and tics or Tourette's syndrome.
Capsule not actual size.
If patients miss a dose, they should take it as soon as they remember, but no later than 4 hours after the normal time. Patients should not take more than 1 dose of Simtriyo in the same day.1

Patients should take Simtriyo once a day in the morning at approximately the same time each day with or without food.1
Simtriyo capsules should be swallowed whole, and not cut, crushed, or chewed.1
If patients are unable to swallow the capsule whole, it may be opened and the entire contents sprinkled over a tablespoon of soft foods such as applesauce, yogurt, or orange juice. Consume immediately followed by water.1
Patients should not take Simtriyo and alcohol at the same time and for at least 2 hours after. This may cause a faster release of the medication.1
