Does Simtriyo dosing vary by patient? How do I determine the correct dose of Simtriyo?
Yes. In adults (18+), the recommended starting dosage of Simtriyo is 210 [br-d]mg orally once daily. The dosage may be increased to the maximum [br-d]recommended dosage of 280 mg once daily based on clinical response [br-d]and tolerability.1
Adolescents (13 through 17) take 280 mg once daily.1
When and how should patients take Simtriyo?
Simtriyo should be taken once daily in the morning, at approximately the [br-d]same time every day, with or without food. Capsules should be swallowed [br-d]whole; if a patient cannot swallow the capsule, it may be opened and the [br-d]contents sprinkled onto soft foods such as applesauce, yogurt, or orange [br-d]juice. Consume immediately followed by water.1
Patients should not drink alcohol at the same time they take Simtriyo, or [br-d]for 2 hours after.1
If a patient misses a dose of Simtriyo, what should [br-d]they do?
If a patient misses a dose, they should take it as soon as they remember, [br-d]but no later than 4 hours after the normal time. Patients should not take [br-d]more than 1 dose of Simtriyo in the same day.1
Does Simtriyo require titration?
No titration required. For most patients taking Simtriyo, the starting dose [br-d]is the therapeutic dose.1
